of the poll options all have a fair amount of detractors besides gamboa, so i guess i voted for him by default.

really i don't feel anyone is majorly overrated right now. i may be forced to eat my words but whatever: i think foreman's chances against cotto are being overrated

Paul Williams was not included since he has good wins over Winky Wright and veteran Verno Phillips. Same goes for Mayweather, Pacquiao, and Cotto; they proved themselves unlike fighters like Cloud, Donaire, and Hozumi Hasegwa.

you can have good wins and still be over-rated.just depends on exactly how highly some people rate him

I'd have to say Martinez. Donaire has got legit skills. Cloud .... boxingscene.com has more fans then he does, don't know why he would he talked about.

I'd like to know how he hasn't proved himself? Two wins over Veeraphol Saphrom are quality and he's taken on the best competition out of any title holder at 118.

Donaire has beaten quality fighters like Darchinyan and I guess Martinez. The only reason I would say he is overrated is because of saying he is being ducked by japanese fighters or Darchinyan.

You can add the 118LB beltholders to that list. I want to see him against yohnny perez.
would you consider Agbeko a better win than anyone off Hozumis resume?

No. Veeraphol Saphrom is a better pair of wins because Saphrom was one of the longest reigning title holders in the sport. Agbeko has 3 quality wins and Perez's resume is pretty good himself. Win over Agbeko and Mabuza. Hasegawa has faced better competition in his defenses then say Moreno and before that Sidorenko(probably misspelling this).

I think looking at each reign of defenses, Hasegawa took on the most top ten rated contenders.

But neither Perez nor Hasegawa are overrated, so I'm not sure how this has anything to do with this.
