As for Floyd, he was comparing himself to MLK and Malcom X not as in what he is doing is equivalent to what they did. He is comparing himself to them in the aspect of he is now going to stand for something like they stood for something.
on his own words
Floyd Mayweather jr:
“But it’s me taking a stand for something that means something. And it’s for the fighters who are up and coming."
“It’s sort of the same stance Martin Luther King and Malcolm X made,
(taking a stand for something that means something)
so we could have freedoms, so everybody could tell the world that we’re equal. The only thing I’m saying is that we are equal. So if you’re not on nothing and I’m not on nothing, then let’s go take the test. That’s all I’m saying."
Floyd says his stance for better drug testing is similar to the stances of Malcom and Martin, in the aspect of (taking a stand for something that means something)
If you actually read what he said, you would understand the context of what he said . But since it is floyd mayweather of course it gets blow out of context. but hey tomorrow this wont even be a storyLast edited by Horus; 02-15-2010, 08:24 PM.Comment
