paul williams was bout to ko him in the late rounds. but he started running. he is overrated.

Uh, paul williams didn't hurt him. williams was wobbled a number of times and was knocked down (legitimately).

Look at the state of the fighters after the fight was over, it tells a pretty clear story.

Williams is the most overrated which has lead to Martinez being overrated.

Winky was ****ing out of form and had a long ass lay off.

Also he has a wrong style to face someone who throws **** loads.

Williams is so easy to hit it is unbelieveable. He throws a lot, but is always open and can not deal with good movement.

Williams did beat Marg, but in hind sight Marg is really bad. Cotto also proved it apart from he gassed and was too easy to hit.

All this has lead to Martinez being overrated for a close fight. Remember Paul took it oin short notice kinda aswell.

Pavlik will struggle with the style but he is still a good fighter and will win. This talk of Williams easily beating Pavlik was bull****.

Sergio Martinez is a beast, He gave Williams his toughest test to date and could have possibly received the win. He dropped Cintron for a 9.9 count and was robbed in that fight.

sergio gave williams problems because hes a southpaw that moves....sergio movement can give pavlik alot of problems but none of his punches will.

i thought sergio beat williams but he did get tired down the stretch....pavlik has the same type of workrate.

the best thing i read on here is that sergio will beat pavlik worse than hopkins....lol hes smaller and weaker 1st of all and he keeps his hands down like a doosh.

frist off hes the best jr middleweight in the world, moved UP in weight and fought a fight were most people thought he won....he's slick, he can punch if he obviouly hurt people like williams who took punches from margraito who might have plaster.

No way. Martinez is a respected fighter who has some loyal fans and some 'flavor of the month' fans because they just saw him in a great fight. Nothing more. Most overrated fighter on this forum is Floyd by far. The things said on here about Floyd vs anyone, be it current or ATG legends are ridiculous. His biggest marks put him over like he's god on earth.

it seems like everybody is overrated in this site. pac, mayweather, mosley, they all have some stench of being overrated in boxingscene.com.

Martinez has a chance against Pavlik and should at least make it an awkward night for Kelly, but I think that Kelly KOs P Will cold!

It's hard to think about Kelly Pavlik and what he might be like now though because my lasting recent memorries of him are being schooled by Hopkins and fighting lower caliber opposition like Rubio.
