When discussing Cotto on here I regularly refer to him as a "cautious aggressor", when describing his style.
I think most of us know his achilles heel or style that is all wrong for him would be fighters who can punch and at the same time throw alot of punches. Cotto not having the best defense, a shaky chin, and not being a high work rate guy himself.
When I think about Yuri Foreman he almost seems made for Cotto to beat and is very Jennings like actually.
Yuri is a good boxer with little pop who is not going to come forward and be willing to take a few to land.
How I see that fight going is Cotto cautiously coming forward picking off jabs as Yuri throws while trying to throw his over top of Yuri's, all while keeping a moderate pace.
Foreman will be perfectly content to give up ground to avoid being hit cleanly using the ring putting Cotto in a situation he is very comfortable with.
Foreman being a taller fighter who uses head movement in addition to his legs will be hard for Cotto is land clean head shots on so I think Cotto would be inclined to throw punches to slow the slickster down and this will be where he does most of his damage which will pay off at the end for a late rd TKO.
Anyone else think it will go sort of like this, or does anyone have any thing to add that maybe I have overlooked?
