Other great fighters out there except vic

i cannot see the reason why many people are pushing a rematch between nonito and vic. Except that they believe what vic and his camp has been saying that it was a lucky punch that knocked him. You can view the replay of that whole fight in youtube, it was dominated by donaire from rd 1 to 5, it was not even a close match. Nonito clearly schooled vic in that fight. i'd prefer to see montiel, morel, or agbeko as nonito's next opponent.

It's not like Vic hasn't accomplished anything since then and is looking to cash out. He's all but run the tables at 115, while Donaire's career has been stuck in neutral. They're the two best super flyweights in the world; why not now?

I agree that fights against top bantamweights come with greater intrigue - but Arum's been promising for years that Fernando Montiel's next fight will be against "one of the other champions." All Montiel has done since then is fight for manufactured titles against mostly anonymous competition.

I'd have to see a signed contract guaranteeing that Arum will match Donaire against a top bantie in his next fight. Otherwise, I'd have to believe it will be more of the same with his career, which is why a Vic rematch makes all of the sense in the world. Not to mention that it's time Arum listens to his fighters, esp. when Nonito has publicly demanded better than what he's being offered.

That fight is so pointless. It's a horrible style match up for Vic. Donaire needs to find some balls and fight Montiel or Hasewaga or the Mares-Perez winner. Quit beating up on little guys.

                Rematch? HELL YEAH!

Any fight fan would want to see a REMATCH. Both have been on top 10 P4P, both hate each other, Shaw is pissed at Donaire, Vic has new belts... That armenian is gonna fall out of the ring again! The Flash looked a lot stronger but it is gonna be hard trying to make that weight again.

Well.. I'm not interested with the rematch... Donaire ha sproven himself againts him... in a very clear way...

Anyways... if this fight pushes through... and DOnaire beat him up again... This will be a good stepping stone for Donaire to fight the bigger and stronger names out there...

Maybe next after this will be againts Montiel...

If Donaire stays at 115 for one more fight then I'd rather see him fight Darchinyan instead of Arce.

But the more interesting challenges for Nonito at this point are at the higher weights.
