Cotto is a brawler/puncher with a nice jab. If he had any
elite level boxing ability Cotto would have beat Margarito
and Pacquiao. Take Cotto's punch away and you see no
boxing ability. Cintron is still a strong fighter that can box
well as we seen with Angulo. Cotto takes too many big
shots to land one of his own. Couldn't get away with that
with Cintron because Kermit still has power to KO a guy
with one big punch and Manny dropped Cotto.

I actually hope Cintron is his next opponent after Foreman.
Cotto is almost punched out. For sure Cotto is all heart and
cojones but he couldn't eat too many Cintron power shots.
I think Cintron is a better athlete as well. If Cintron was to
take Cotto's punch away then you would see the same look
in Cotto's eyes that he had for Margarito, Clottey and Pac.
Which is a clueless look.

Cotto should have used Emmanuel Steward for his fights. I still
shake my head when I think of what a fighter Miguel Cotto could
have been if he just had a solid team and trainer that could have
showed him some new tricks to tap into his hidden potential. He
didn't have to take that much punishment with the right direction.
I don't know but Yuri Foreman may just beat Cotto. I honestly
don't think Cotto has anything left but will see June 12th.

Unfortunately, I think that's gonna be Cotto's legacy...His name will be surrounded by "what if's".

i think the word I used was exceptional not elite. You talk as if Cintron has a rock solid chin. His problem with Cotto would be early in the fight. He would not hold up to beating like Cotto gave Margs in the 1st 1/3 of their fight. And if you want to use the Angulo fight as a supporting piece of evidence to what a good boxer Cintron is, remember what I just said when I first got at you. " he does well with a stationary target like Angulo". Man, he was walking right into Cintrons shots. And as for Cintrons "power" when was the last time he Knocked anyone out? I don't think he has had an opponent down at all in a while.

well it depends actually if he does get a decent trainer. If cintron can beat paul and cotto can beat foreman I think that fight might be made. I dont think cintron has the defense to take cottos shots I mean he fought marg and lost twice weather it was ploaster or not he got knocked out way earlier than cotto did. I think it would be a shootout while it last and I think cotto would come out on top. That is if hes even anything close to being the same cotto.

Aye, Grus, Cintron knows that look! it's the same look he had in his eyes with Martinez and twice when he hit Margs with everything but the kitchen sink and he kept on charging straight ahead. Anyway I've had enough of that subject, these guys aren't even close to fighting each other. For all we know they may be hanging out somewhere together right now talking about never fighting one another.

I don't think he is. Cintron can improve but Cotto unfortunately
reached his peak.

It's very unfortunate that Cotto is all heart and not much in the brain department. Cotto should be in the mega fight but he's so stubborn that he refuses to hire the proper trainer. His own bravado has been his worst enemy.

LOL but cotto is moving up to face foreman. he will face a stiff challenge, personally i hope cotto wins i think hes due for a victory and cotto would play a big role in up comming events IMO

yea, Cotto has to be the 'boss" in his corner and in camp,so you won't ever see a guy like Steward in his corner unless its out of desperation.
