Comments Thread For: James DeGale Pleased With His Powerful Performance

James DeGale moved to 6-0 (5 KOs) with a three knockdown, second round stoppage win over Matthew Barr at Wembley Arena, London last night, with the fighter himself expressing surprise over how powerfully he is punching in the pro ranks. DeGale told Sportinglife.com that trainer Jim McDonnell has been working on James’s power, with the results speaking for themselves thus far in his fledgling career.

I like his speed and head movement. I don't like his wild looping shots that even at this level his opponents see coming a mile away. He also took some unecessary hits from Barr just before he stopped him by ducking too low to one side and giving himself nowhere to go - ****iness often leads to complacency and he took two flush shots that were needless.

Theres nobody in boxing that I dislike more than James DeGale. He's just so up his own ass its unbelievable, even though he hasn't achieved anything in professional boxing. The difference between the way this dude talks and Prince Naseem is that Naseem used to do it moslty just to entertain the crowd, but this dude genuinely loves himself.

Grow some balls and go fight George Groves, he would whoop your ass AGAIN like he did in the amateurs!
