It doesn't take a genius to figure this out.
    lopez has headlined PPV's

lopez is the main event when gamboa is on the undercard

since when does the bigger draw fight in the undercard of a smaller draw?

it doesn't take a genius to figure this out

I think as it stands now if they were to fight Lopez should get the bigger split, but if Gamboa keeps outdoing Lopez performance wise then that should at least tip the split slightly in his favor. You happy now?

when you fight lower opposition, you tend to look better

        he fought mtagwa at 126

lopez fought mtagwa at 122. he said 3 days before the fight that he struggle too much that time making 122 pounds. he was looking at the time while he was fighting, that's called survival and it started around the 4th round. what would happen if gamboa drained himself to 122 and fought mtagwa? what would happen in mtagwa had a rematch with lopez at 126, where he isn't drained?

gamboa is a beast and has a huge chance against lopez, but don't try to make it look like gamboa is fighting better opposition than lopez, because that's just not true

if gamboa steps up in competition and looks as good as always, then i'd agree wholeheartedly with you. meanwhile, juanma has a belt and more fans willing to buy his fights. that's what "drawing power" is, it's not related with talent, opposition, or anything else.
