Hey I'm a first time poster, been reading these boards for awhile now and I gotta admit, I really find the '*****s and *******s battle' great entertainment. I come here alot to see who comes up with ****** but funny comments, avatars, etc. I really find it amusing how *******s and *****s totally loses their common sense and logic, but I guess that's why I find reading their comments funny as hell!
What do I think of both fighters?
Manny: Exciting to watch, God given courage, speed and strength but NO God given talent (He had to earn it). He got better simply coz of Roach and this is so obvious if you've been watching him fight from the beginning. I used to be so skeptical of Manny coz he keeps himself open all the time and doesnt defend himself whenever he attacks. The more I watch him tho, simply the better technique he got, thanks to Roach, and he earned his status now because of hardwork, and I respect him for that. What's unfortunate is how all his hardwork and humbleness somehow doesn't get acknowledged by *****s, and that Pac obviously got better due to Roach's training. Whenever I see *****s attack Pac on ****** things, all I can think of is "The guy is such a humble and nice guy, both in and out the ring, he never talks trash, never guarantees a win but always guarantees exciting fights for fans, respects his oppponents (not sure about Floyd now lol). He does karaoke after his bouts, and invites opponents on his bday parties...so what's with the hate???" The guy seems like a cool guy to be with!
Floyd: Boring to watch, but a smart fighter with natural talent. Any boxing fan can't deny the skill Flloyd has. I saw his previous fights and his counterpunching and speed was amazing. But what I think happened to Floyd is that the more famous he got, the more he became more cautious in the ring and I don't see that killer instinct like he had from older fights. I know he's satisfied with just winning by points and not taking chances, and if that's his decision then I respect him for that too. If any of us were in his position, where he can easily make money and not get hurt, then we'll do the same thing! Floyd is absoulutely correct..I won't pay his bills! So why should I care how he pays for his?? What's unfortunate is how *******s doesn't acknowledge that Floyd is a natural skilled counterpuncher and that he'd have no problem facing any fighters out there, especially Pac. If Roach admits that Floyd would be a challenge, then I believe him. Because I still see Pac needing Roach more than Floyd needing Roger.
But don't let me stop you *****s and *******s from arguing, coz I really find it entertaining so keep it up!
