To anyone who has watched a fight @ Boardwalk Hall

I went to my first fight @ MSG, Cotto vs Clottey. I loved the atmosphere @ a boxing fight and want to watch another live fight.

I was planning on buying tickets to Pavlik vs Martinez. Can you describe to me the venue? How is it? I bought $300 tickets to the Cotto fight and had very good seats...what kind of seating do you recommend for this fight? I'm planning on spending a little less.

    Thanks!

ive been to both arenas and even though i think msg holds about 6000 more i really didnt notice that much of a size difference. you should be able to get good seats for the pavlik martinez fight in the 150 to 200 dollar price range but there not going to be as good as the 300 dollar seats for cotto clottey i also bought the 300 dollar tickets for that fight and they were actually better then the 750 dollar tickets i bought for mosley cotto and the 500 dollar seats for judah cotto it helps if you buy the tickets as soon as they go on sale as well. have you been to ac before?

I was at the Cotto-Clottey fight. I was also at Hopkins-Pavlik a back on '08 which took place at Boardwalk Hall. It was a good atmosphere but I wouldn't say as good as MSG on the annual eve before the PR Day Parade fight card because national pride comes out with those types of fights.

I don't really think Martinez has any type of US fan fase and Pavlik has his fans that come in from Ohio so I honestly don't think the fight will even be as good as the Hopkins-Pavlik fight as far as atmosphere since Hopkins also had a fan fase since Philly isn't that far away but the fight itself should be entertaining and it's still probably worth going to.

As far as seating, just go with the $100 seats. I had $300 seats at Cotto-Clottey as well and they were about equal.

        Here's the seating chart:

I'd try to get seats in section 219-221, it's a great center view looking down that's not too far away and it's also the side that the fighters enter from. I don't think a lot of people know this but you can actually can ticketmaster and request a certain section and they'll give you seats there if they are available.
