Comments Thread For: Sauerland Event: $2 million is Not Fair For Klitschko-Valuev

Chris Meyer, the managing director for Sauerland Event, reached out to BoxingScene.com to respond to the recent comments that were made by Shelly Finkel, adviser to WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko. Meyer's company co-promotes former champion Nikolai Valuev with Don King. The two sides have been trying to finalize an agreement for a possible May clash between Klitschko and Valuev.

      Reminds me of the old

      "Pay me what I'm worth"

"Well I gotta pay you something"

Valuev should be thrilled with the 2 mill and count his blessings, before he blows his chance. 36 is pretty old in giant years, he doesn't have much time left.

Valuev will not make $2 million fighting any other opponent.

It's the best offer he'll ever get, so he should take it.

He knows the risk in a Vitali fight. He knows he will get knocked out and wants to make the most possible $ for it.

Queenpin Johnson set a dubious Compubox record with only *5* power punches landed in the entire 12 rounds!

He didn't even try to fight. He belongs in Boxing's Hall of Shame.

Valuev is worth the 2 mill for Klitschko, perhaps even more. In Germany, only a fight vs. Haye or Valuev matter for the Klitschkos. Valuev doesn't deserve the money, but I think it's legit to try to sell this fight as expensive as possible.

When Vitali is done with Valuev, his career will be over. So, he needs a big payday in a last fight. Otherwise, he could sell his hairy butt in half a dozen fights (including Haye II) for 750K each, and be better off.

Vitali needs Valuev more, than the other way around.

Lol, no, Vitali doesn't need Valuev for ****. He made 22 million euros last year, and only in one of those fights was he fighting another fighter that could draw (Arreola). Johnson and Gomez can't draw for **** and Vitali still made huge money facing them, so Valuev can accept the 2 million or GTFO.
