ohh ok my bad. I misunderstood what you were trying to say. Yeah, I could care less if they hate, I was just trying to make sense of there hate because I just don't get it. None of this bothers me, but I just like to make comments on things I observe here.

What does it say when people claim that all the top tier opponents in each division Manny faces and beats get called "Tune ups" or "Taylor Made" opponents. That is why I never argue with them, because even in an attempt to flame, they are just reaffirming how great Manny truly is.

I made this thread because 2 years ago people would laugh if you claimed Manny would beat Margarito, Cotto, Hatton, and De La Hoya easy. Now these guys are considered tune ups or tailor made for Pac. I mean when has Cotto ever been "tailor made" for anyone.

But if you feel the need to come in and flame my thread go ahead.
you dont know what tailor made means do you?

cotto is flat footed, only effective when hes coming forward, comes in straight lines, squares up and is a bit slow just to mention a few of the flaws he has.

hatton does all of the same plus he doesnt use his jab, move his head and he telegraphs his punches.

      styles make fights.

nobody will ever beat manny with pressure and brute force. he just uses basic fundamentals, southpaw angles and speed to box circles around them and pick them apart.

the way to beat pac is to make him come to you, make him be aggressive then counter him and catch him coming in. he looks superhuman when guys come to him and try to make it a fight, but when they use angles on him and box he is very beatable. marquez showed that twice, and since then pac has only taken on tailor made oponents.

speed, skills and boxing IQ is the way to beat him. but he never takes on fighters with those qualitites. he takes on pressure fighters who try to outmuscle him which will never work.

like when he moved up to 135 and fougth david diaz. diaz is a straight forward fighter whos only gameplan was to overpower pac. had he fought Ring Mag champ casamayor or WBA, WBO IBF champ campbell it wouldve been a whole other story.

those guys could box, rack up on points and exploit some of pacs weaknesses, but he doesnt fight ppl who do that. just ppl who come to fight and take him out, which allows him to do his thing.

its not a compliment to say anyone only fights tailor made oponents, i think u missed the meaning of the word. if foreman fought 10 joe fraziers ppl would think he was the greatest HW ever, thats basicly what pac is doing.

my point exactly. I just realized that Whoreus is right, there will always be an excuse. Even if he fought someone who bounced around the ring all night...they will find something.

So you think Casamayor and Campbell (at the time pac was in their division) were better boxers than Cotto? Also Cotto was boxing, looking for counter opportunities and that still didn't work. Also Marquez didn't beat Pac the second fight, and outside those two big counters, his moments in the fight came from when he was winning a few exchanges with pac.

Do you think you are being open minded? No one can beat everyone. The only thing I hate about Pac is people think he is so great but I think 1Assassin's analysis is correct and objective but die hard Pac fans will say no he is simply that great.

I actually think he is beatable. That's my point. People act like Cotto had no chance, when in reality it was a 50-50 fight going in. Alot of people thought Hatton vs Pac was 50-50 going in also. Hell I'm even given Clottey a good chance of beating pac, but i kinda find it strange that people think Clottey is basically gonna be a punching bag and that his style is tailor made of Pac. Considering Clottey's right hand, defense, physical strength, and the fact no one ever looks good against him, makes saying he is a "punching bag" a purely ****** comment. Sad thing its a widely shared view on this board.

No one is not giving him credit. The point is that he's one dimensional and he will tear up anyone with no defense that comes forward with his power and hand speed. All that is neutralized when facing a counter puncher or boxer. He's already been outboxed on 3 diffrent occasions and if he faces Mayweather it will be a worse beating than anyone has given him.

streetbully made some solid points on the subject last nite on the show ... i wouldnt have agreed with them before the pac cotto fight but in retrospect he was dead on ... i do think d.diaz on pac has fought guys with styles of standing and trading with leaky defenses that are tailor made to pac as well ... that dont mean they werent good boxers tho just that pac is obviously much much better ...

and clottey is gonna be a punching bag imo ... hes too slow not mobile enuf and dont hit hard enuf to really pose a threat. he doesnt even continue to fight in the later halves of his fights ... he toughness defense and jab will keep him in the fight but i am not expectign it to be all that competitive ...
