How come Martinez is fighting Pavlik?

& now Paul Williams is supposedly fighting at ww again. I'm not hating just curious cause I thought Williams was going after the mw title, and I haven't been keeping track. I do think that Williams chin couldn't hold up with a solid mw.

Pavlik is a bigger draw, and a lower risk fighter than Williams (Some of you are going to give me **** for this. I stand by it.)

I think that Williams offerred Martinez a rematch but Martinez opted to fight Pavlik instead(possibly because of Pavliks somewhat stationary style and if he wins, he'll be the middleweight champ). Not sure who is really to blame for the initial Williams/Pavlik deboccle but they can't seem to meet or agree to any terms. Pavlik witnessing Williams get the nod over Martinez may think that he will have an easier time against Martinez(I don't think this will be the case). With no good matchups at middleweight and Martinez, the best jr middleweight, being tied up with Pavlik, moving back to welter was his best option. I hope he can make the weight though.

Okay what was it that made a Pavlik/Williams fight fall apart? I was very interested in this fight happening.

pwill got a huge scare when martinez floored him. They are running back to WW scared. they're smoking crack if they think any of the top 3 WW will fight him.

the fact that people thought williams would beat pavlik at 160 is just hilarious to me

martinez has a good chance of beating pav but i think the ghost will be to strong

team pwill is scared now that pwill got knocked down by martinez a 154 lber. pavlik is too high risk (they aren't even thinking about the reward). Team Pwill used the 50/50 purse split as a way to duck the fight (the work of Al Haymon I bet).

Makes sense, I always respected pwill's skills but he never seemed to have the chin or skill ot take on fighters his own size. Hate to say it but I do think he's running scared back to ww. But even a solid ww with a long reach and decent boxing skills could beat him the way Quintana did.
