It's Winky's jab that made Shane struggled. Also Winky is taller than Clottey. I dont think that Clottey has a better jab than Winky. I wouldnt be surprised if Clottey win though.

Load of ****......biggest cop out in boxing ........if you win.....you win.....none of this bullcrap where the beltholder gets the benefit in a close fight............close but clear----> Clottey won!!! It shouldn't matter that one guy deserves it because he has a belt or fought through adversity of a cut and made it close......i don't give a ****.... he still lost.........

Saying Shane and Clottey are equal is just ******ed. Shane is clearly the better fighter. He just struggles against brawlers. But just imagine what Mayweather would do to Clottey...That would be a one sided boxing clinic...
I dont know about Floyd doing a boxing clinic on Clottey. It's possible but I doubt it. Clottey has very good defense and I think he will just take Mayweather's punches. I definitely see Clottey giving problems to Floyd. The one fight that I remember Clottey most is the fight against Judah. In that fight it seems that Judah just quit coz he knows he cant hurt Clottey. and Judah's power>Mayweather.

Clottey is no Winky Wright. Then again Shane isn't the same guy that fought Winky either. Depends which Shane shows up I guess, the one who put up mediocre performances against Mayorga and Cotto, or a brilliant one against Margarito.

I watched that fight but I would say Cotto won that. Clottey could have won that easily but he "fought not to lose" instead of "fighting to win" in the championship rounds.

I don't see how Clottey is stronger than Floyd. He hasn't gotten a KO in over 4 years. Mayweather gave fighters brutal beatings. Marquez still hasn't recovered, Hatton's punch resistence and chin were gone afterwards and Judah was about to get KO'ed before the lowblow. Clottey on the other hand couldn't even stop a blown up Chico and actually lost rounds to him...A guy Floyd stopped in a one sided 10 round massacre while he was undefeated. And Floyd doesn't have to hurt Clottey to box circles around him. He's flat footed and not active at all, which is tailor made for Floyd.

Clottey does have a good turtle like defense, but he doesn't know when to stop using it. That's why I think Mosley would solve and beat him. 8 rounds to 4 seems about accurate. Mosley doesn't have the same legs he used to so I'd give Clottey a puncher's chance, but skill wise I just don't see him pulling off the victory.

I believe Clottey's punches are stronger than Money. It's just that Floyd uses angles to surprise his opponent thus KOing/knocking some down. Clottey just goes straight and launches his straight missiles. and Mosley is a come-forward fighter as well which will play into Clottey's hands.

But at the end of the day, whose punches are more effective? You could be the strongest fighter in the world but if you fight like Calzaghe, your punches still feel like feathers. Cotto punches 5x harder than Clottey and Mosley took his punches pretty well, so I don't see Clottey hurting Mosley at all.

And if you watch Cotto-Mosley, Cotto just boxed for 7 rounds and then backpeddled for the rest of the fight...Not a very good way to win. DLH tried that against Trinidad and look who got the decision. I also recall Mosley getting ready to stop Cotto in round 10 but the ref pulled them apart because there was water on the ground. But with that aside, due to Clottey's slow workpace, I highly doubt he'd be able to outwork Mosley for 7 rounds before shelling up for the rest of the fight. Maybe 3 or 4, but nomore than that.

I was rooting for Judah on his fight with Clottey but Clottey basically took all his punches and delivered the cleaner more effective blows. That fight made me a Clottey believer. I think we will see this fight after they both lose to Manny and Mayweather. We shall see who will win. Id favor Clottey if they meet.
