i think both hopkins and tito are scared of each other.

hopkins koed tito and completely outclassed him.

but he then avoided a rematch so maybe he was worried
that the outcome might not be so onesided now tito knew
how good hopkins is and that he isnt likely to ko him.

They are all scared before a fight but their brave enough to conquer their fear and go on with the fight. Mike Tyson even said that the difference between the hero and the coward is even though both are scared, the hero faces his fears while the coward runs. I think he said this after he was asked if he was ever scared to fight. Basically, yes. Even Tyson gets nervous.
