Really to me HBO likes Katsidas and Funeka so that fight should be built up at 135 right now it is just a hardcore fan fight but if you let them both clean up a bit of riff raff at 135 in a year it could be quite a bit bigger.
Katsidis-Funeka is not a fight that would be built up. 2 non-American fighters with no real fanbase or potential for big one.

It'd be a good fight though. Funeka wants to and can fight nonstop from the outside, Katsidis wants to and can fight nonstop from the inside. I see Funeka clipping Katsidis too many times on his way in and stopping him late.

It is still about rating HBO should be smart about that they should not just put that fight together on the fly. Both of those guys have been on HBO frequently so it would be easy to have them fight on cards close to each other then have them fight on the same card in good but winnable fight sthen have them come together.

That seems like an obvious plan to me as both guys are exciting fighters, it is a good fight for their viewers though and they should be trying to make that fight happean at some point just whether it is now or later.

Damn, Kats doesn't need to be doing this ****. He should be jumping at any big fight he can get right now, because he'll be world champ going in regardless. I would've preferred Funeka to Diaz, because there'd be hella more challenge there.

I just hope he doesn't go for a soft touch, whoever it'll be.

Man I been saying it since the Guzman fight. Funeka is the Paul Williams of 135. He's going to be the most avoided fighter in that division.

his height, reach, and work rate make him a tough match up for pretty much everyone at lw but his chin seems vulnerable enough where I think that some of the lw's with power have a good chane of putting him down and out

Mate i think he is waiting for a call from Khan's camp, Katsidis is a good option for Amir, another lightweight having to move up and a good name, rather than fight a genuine 140'er again!!!
