    Your opinion of Cosme Rivera

I had the opportunity to watch one of ths guy's fights and while nobody expects him to give Zab any trouble, it was still interesting to see what he brings to the table.

Seems to me that the guy is fast but his footwork isn't espcially creative. A lot of jumping towards and away from his opponent but not much more. His weapon of choice seems to be a looping left hook that has some speed and accuracy but little pop, plus if you're fast like Zab you'll probably see it coming a mile away.

Decent handspeed and accuracy, but his power didn't impress me.

Basically his movement overall seemed uneconomical. More like a dude whose had a few too many coffees.

The thing that will give him the most trouble is the defence. His opponent didn't give him too much trouble that night but I don't think he can block for ****. One Zab establishes his range he should be able to dispose this guy in no time.

Never seen him but have read up on him. Zab is expected to blow him out but I wouldnt be surprised if he upset Zab because of Zabs ability to NOT focus.

Im expecting a blowout by Zab though, Zabs road leads to bigger thing now and I dont think he would blow it.

    Zab is even talking retirement.

My opinion of Cosme Rivera is that he is 28-7 with 2 draws. And has losses to

      Arturo Morau 15-1-1
      Diosbelys Hurtado 30-2-1
      Ricky Quiles 28-4-1
      Antonio Pitalua 25-1
      Oscar Delgado 15-7
      Rogelio Montenegro 8-2
      Luis Alejandro Ugalde 0-0

      And 2 draws with

      Rodolfo Gomez 27-11-1
      Cachorron Diaz 0-0

Zab is talking retirement? Strange...maybe he is looking for a few more big paydays before he packs it in.

Zab's focus is bad but I don't think this guy could surprise him, say the way Kostya did. Even if he starts slow Cosme doesn't have the power to do much about it, from what I've seen.

Unfortunately I did not bring the fight to work with me. I could see about getting it here next week, though by that time people might not care anymore .

It was a big file, as well, so it would be hard to get through yousendit.

Zab won't retire; why would he fight Spinks for 100,000 if not to potentially lead to other big paydays? He could have got a much easier fight for that kind of money...

Zab stated in numerous interviews that since he is undisputed he is looking for the bigger paydays and by 30 he would like to retire and focus on his businesses and work with Jay-Z with his clothing line.

Smart move really, Zab seems to know the chances of staying in the game to long but I am sure it is just talk though. Oscar did the same thing and now he is stuck around being smacked around, I see Zab being in denial.

But he has spoken about it.
