Why is Victor Ortiz fighting some bum on a thursday on FSN

Why can't fighters fight stay busy fights? People complain that fighters don't fight often enough but they want every matchup to be against top 10 opponents at the same time. You think Sugar Ray Robinson was fighting top 10 opponents his whole career? I'd rather fighters fight more often than two times a year against top fighters. The more boxing I watch, the happier I am.

Not like this fight is on HBO or PPV, free fight on basic cable.

I don't have huge expectations for Ortiz anymore. I think he showed one of those fatal flaws against Maidana. I think it's a matter of time before he gets beat again. Nate Campbell is pretty tough too, so it might be soon.
