Comments Thread For: BJ Flores is Shocked That Marco Huck is Fighting Richards

BJ Flores (24-0) informed BoxingScene.com that he was extremely disappointed to learn that Marco Huck (20-1) will be defending his WBO cruiserweight title versus Adam Richards (23-2). The fight takes place in Berlin, Germany on March 13th. Flores had this to say, "Why is Huck fighting Richards when I was beating down his door for the fight?
We were practically begging Sauerland Events for the fight."

    BJ should understand

I'm sure they got the Swamp Donkey cheaper, and he's more fun to watch, so he will put more butts in the buckets and asses in the seats. It is a business BJ. You gotta market yourself better (exciting fights) to get the good gigs!

Huck seems to be bouncing back pretty well since he got stopped by Cunningham, having fought 8 times in the two years since then, only one tomato can.

BJ Flores has fought nothing but hand-picked opponents, such as the light heavyweight Epifano Mendoza.

Overall Huck has faced MUCH better opposition. And at least Richards is coming down from heavyweight, so he's a big guy. Mendoza was chosen by Flores because he's smaller.

So BJ needs to stop bitching, he's done nothing to deserve a titile shot.

BJ seems like a good dude and he does a good job on FNF's but come on already, he's been talking about fighting a big fight since he beat the dingaling man. That was 2 years ago wtf??

Richards is a really horrible opponent who has no business in a title fight, but Huck has had some good fights lately and he should be cut a little slack unless he fights another bum with no chance next time out.
