no he isn't
he's a defensive pressure fighter like Winky he covers up, lets you flurry, then answers
AA doesn't pivot, roll, or weave shots to spin back with counters he did time Miranda to counter a few times though
hes not.. hes not fast or crisp enough.. dirrell UD
You don't have to be fast to be a counterpuncher.
Hopkins is a great counter puncher, and his speed is B,and the guy ain't so much crisp.
So I guess you can be a decent,or even good counter puncher with average speed.
Abraham can counter punch at times,he signed nice kos with counter punches but he's not a real counterpuncher.
Did yall remember when he countered Miranda with a right hand in the rematch, the first knock down??
But I don't think he can do that with Dirrell.
I think Abraham is more powerfull than Froch.
Froch can crack, but Abraham look like a mini Shavers.
So,Direll is supposed to outbox the shorter, slower and less active Abraham. But I think he's too soft to do that.
If he was too cautious with Froch's power,so,he will be AFRAID of Abraham's.
Abraham will land wild bomb and Dirrell will piss his pants in the ropes gettin hit instead of counterpunching.
But when Dirrell will be in the center of the ring,he will outwork the German shell.
INTERESTING FIGHT!!

winky wright is one of the best counterpunchers in the game. even though he doesnt use alot of headmovement or footwork to make u miss he is very good at catching shots with one glove and firing back right away with the other. hes not anything like abraham.
and abraham isnt a pressure fighter eighter. are u ****ing kidding me? abraham a pressure fighter? thats ****ing absurd, i struggle to find any fighter who fights more in spurts than arthur. same thing goes for fighting at a low pace.

You're right with AA not being a pressure fighter but here's the question:"How can you KO people with yours (AA) being in a shell defense and not doing anything but still win the fight?"
How come people are trying to box AA but still lose, most likely by KO? AA must be a good counterpuncher to some extend to accomplish that.
I'll tell you that, he will counter, if he needs to do so. AA will box Dirrell out of Dirrell's distance and than jumpt the **** on him. Dirrell will tangle up his feet time and time again till AA lands enough vicious shots to lay him out for good - so much for Sirrel's good footwork...athletic abilities ain't helping you if you can't control them with strong nerves...
To some extent yes because he waits for opponents to finish what they are doing and then throws his jab after they finish extending theirs, but this is overlooked due to his explosive power.
In truth hes not a counterpuncher, up till now i think hes just been tougher than everyone hes fought so far.
I mean he will stand there for like 3-4 rounds just defending and once the opponent starts getting frustrated/weary from hitting his shell he just explodes out of it and that changes the fight. The opponents feel his power and he starts walking them down after that.
Dirrell is gonna get stopped. Why? Well from a technical standpoint he is better than AA but i dont think he can physically hurt him and if you cant hurt AA then he is gonna punk you.
But with that said i think AA could be beat by someone who is mentally tougher than him. But at this point the only person who might be able to do that is ward in this tournament.
