vlad is a heavy handed guy. if you want a comparison i would say his power in the heavyweight division is similar to fernando vargas' power at junior middleweight. wasnt a murderous puncher but when he lands shots you definately feel them.

Vitali has merely above average power. I would compare it to Ali's or Holmes'. He is definitely capable of hurting his opponent, but he is not quick enough nor does he have the timing to knock them out with one punch. This is why you don't see him knocking guys out in the manner that Ali did with Bonavena, Foreman, or some of the lesser heavyweights he faced on the way up. Vitali's power is like Ali's if you slowed his punches down. Perhaps a little more, but not by much.

Now strength on the other hand, he has plenty of that. I've never seen another boxer push Lewis around like he did. True, Lewis was tired, but it's still very impressive.

Vlad punches hard, but biomechanically he doesn't punch correctly.

Short hooks like the one Tyson through at Berbicks forehead, are the ones that get the job done. Perfectly timed, pivot, arm at 180 degrees. Just poetry in motion.
