I don't think Toney's camp understands about false positives with nandrolone. The initial research came out in 2000 followed by more definitive stuff in 2003.

It seems to me if he was juicing , his camp would have a had a plan if he got caught....

Still stands that if he was innocent, he'd have no reason to lie about it in the first place. Obviously he had something to hide.

I don't think James Toney would take drugs to try to get in edge on his opponent. He doesn't remind me of that kind of person.

Toney wont appeal failed drug test
May 13, 2005 - WBA heavyweight titlist James Toney appeared on ESPN2's Friday Night Fights and, in a televised interview with Brian Kenney, indicated that he would not appeal the failed drug test that transformed his April 30, 2005 victory over John Ruiz into a no-contest. Toney said the positive test result came from drugs that were prescribed to him by his physician and that he planned to serve his 90-day suspension and then resume his career. However, he almost certainly will be stripped of his WBA title, which will revert back to Ruiz. --Scott Shaffer

I think that he isnt dis*****g it shows he knows he was in the wrong. Going with the doctors excuse is lame as hell especially since he injured his arm last Fall and at most it would have taken 4 months to recover. Toney shouldnt have been on the juice during April anyways.

Toney knows he was in the wrong but still wont admit it and shows that he knows he was by not appealing it.

Toney is a douchebag, but I respect him for keeping it quiet and taking his punishment...

Are you kidding me. Toney is the biggest piece of trash in boxing today and would say anything to win. And he'd do any drugs he had to in order to win too. He'd probably smoke some crack if someone said it'd help him perform better.

Pretender you win, I am not going to keep arguing about this Toney situation with you. I am a reasonable boxing fan with unbiased opinions. Heres an example I am fan of James Toney, but if Toney was in a fight I thought he was going to lose I would simply admit it. If I thought Toney took steroids to get an edge over Ruiz I would admit it. But I don't believe that...I post what I truley believe is the truth...

I think Vitali could beat Ruiz, but never underestimate the great heart of a true warrior like Ruiz. And at least Ruiz is the only fighter calling out Vitali constantly.

I think Toney and Ruiz should rematch to see if this last fight was legit or not.
