A rematch between WBA "regular" super flyweight champion Nobuo Nashiro and Hugo Cazares is in talks. The two fought to a very close draw last September in Osaka, Japan. The scores were 114-114, 116-112 Cazares and 116-112 for Nashiro. Cazares felt he was robbed.

This is good news. The first fight was pretty good and exciting throughout. I thought it was close and a draw was a fair result, IMO.

Classic line about the offer to hold the fight in Mexico being turned down. The scores were close the first time in Japan and surprise, surprise, Japan will wind up hosting the rematch. Cazares ran into the same thing with Calderon. He came up on the short end of two close decisions in Calderon's Puerto Rico. Who wants to put money on him losing another close decision in Japan?
