I think he could go up to 140 easily enough and take his power with him. He's a big guy at 135, and has more power than anyone else in that weight class. Also consider his handspeed....if he moves up, that'll be an even bigger advantage than it is now. He puts together nice combos, both inside and out, has no trouble going 12 rounds...I think he could move up 2 weights and still be OK, though at Welter he'd have to box more, and lay off the brawling he does at lightweight, or he'd get his ass KO'd quick by someone with big power and a good uppercut.

He said he would do a rematch but Gary Shaw says "Never" so who really knows.

Corrales is a big man and could go up to 160 and still be fine physically but his chin is checky, he has heart no doubt about that but he constantly gets dropped.

actually i just tha fight again. If you look when the fight was stopped Castillo dropped his hands for a second and the ref jumped in there. I first thought he was getting punched when he was out on his feet, but no that i see it again it looks different so i dont know. I still think Corrales did a weak move by throwing his mouthpiece out

Well, I think they will find that Chico had too much time to recover and just order an immediete rematch. So, if Chico wants to keep his belt, he will have to fight Castillo in November. That fight, if it comes off, will be a brutal KO win for Castillo in 6.

I dont think so, I think it will be just as close as the first time around.

What a bunch of bull****. What do they expect the ref to do when Corrales spits out his mouthpiece? Disqualify him? Toney Weeks took a point from him and if Castillo wouldn't have gotten carried away trying to knock him out he would have won the decision. It's not the ref's fault or Chico's fault. Castillo and his fans are turning this all-time classic into nothing but a crybaby war. If they enforce a rematch I think Chico should let them strip him of his title and move up in weight class to fight Morales. That way, Castillo can be a fake ass champion and everybody will remember he got KTFO. That would be worse for Castillo than any loss.

I agree, I guess everyone wanted Castillo to win and will stop at nothing, but Corrales wouldnt have to move up to face Morales.

You took the words right out of my mouth pimpin...If corrales should have gotten disqualified for spitting out the mouthpiece then freitas should have when he did it against corrales...He was warned the first time and had a point taken away the second time...There wasn't any bias on the refs part in this fight...Castillo just ran up when he should have stayed away and he got knocked out for it, plain and simple...Rematch or not he still got TKO'd....

Noone makes a fuss about Freitas because he lost. If he won it would have been twisted...People are not just happy with seeing a great fight they have to get involved.
