    More Ruiz-Toney Conspiracy Theories

Well there were dozens of thoughts and theories going into the fight, and now due to its seedy aftermath, I figured we should stir up the pot even more, until we get the real reasons behind all of these wacky occurences....

    - Remember the picture from the Tuesday before the fight, of Ron Scott Stevens (NYSAC commissioner) schmoozing with Norman Croney Stone, during one of Ruiz' public workouts? Nobody thought twice about it when the photo was taken, but why is a commissioner rubbin' shoulders with a fighter's trainer 4 days before a heavyweight title fight???

    - This was the 1st fight in a number of years where Croney didn't go off on either the ref, the opposing trainer, Don King, or any other official related to the fight, during the actual fight (there was word of a backstage argument concerning Jawny's beard, but that was the only reported activity)....gosh why was Croney so calm this time around? Especially when his fighter was getting beat pretty bad?

    - Why did John Ruiz, after calling it quits, all of a sudden renig his retirement, once news began to swirl about the roid allegations?

(please post your own theories that you've heard about)

Let's hear from the Toney & Ruiz nuthuggers & haters, come one come all!!!

Ruiz came back cause he's ill advised and easily manipulated by Stoney plus he has few options besides boxing.

      >Maybe going over some standards and procedures before the fight? Possible in both camps

>Maybe he wanted no part of Freddie.. & The Ref was more than fare

      - Why did John Ruiz, after calling it quits, all of a sudden renig his retirement, once news began to swirl about the roid allegations?
      >Before this hit media, Ruiz and especially Don definitely got some wind of the situation. As we all know if the fight is annulled, the original champ must be active in order to get the title back. Otherwise, it becomes vacant.

Again, I'm not taking any sides right now, like I said... just for the sake of the argument

I don't think it was a conspiracy so much and Ruiz knowing he would get the belt back.

Look at it this way, noone goes out of their way to watch Ruiz. He would make even less money without the WBA belt. Now that he has his title back, he can sneak in a couple of more fights to earn some extra money.

The whole thing does seem sketchy but there is nothing anyone can do about it now.
