I know this is late Shadyfizzle but I'm willing to put up 50k on Martinez. Pavlik gets thoroughly outboxed in this fight and by a wider margin than people think. Pavlik is too straight up and down for Martinez who will bust Pavlik up IMO.

sorry. jrosales took me up on my offer already. only willing to do 1 bet with this fight because of all the time pavlik has been off and how it might affect him. not because of the style differences. I just really dont think Martinez is slick at all like people make him out to be nor do i think his lateral movement is as good at it seems.

i'll put 150k on martinez...but there is a clause...if martinez gets robbed...the bet is off...a robbery can be determined easily...especially in a martinez fight...

good fight, martinez should take it easy. pavilik way too one dimensional, a 40+ b hop showed that.

It looks like Martinez is going back into the lion's den after he got a raw deal in that same exact city against Williams. He'll have to stop Pavlik to beat him because the way HBO wants it, they want Bute and Pavlik to fight each other. It's clear they've got an agenda and Martinez will have to step up his aggressiveness and develop a killer instinct and that may cause him to go outside of his element when he is best as a counter puncher giving angles. I thought he did a good job of trading with Williams. But I also thought that he expended a lot of energy which allowed Williams to close the fight out a little stronger.

That's cool. It looks like a lot of people are picking Pavlik so I'll probably find someday to bet with. I think Martinez will win because he moves so much better than Pavlik and I can see him countering all night. The Hopkins fight showed just how easily Pavlik can be outboxed by a fighter with those types of skills. Martinez has them. Pavlik is just too easy to hit and even in his last fight he was getting hit way too easily. I think his days as the middleweight kingpin are numbered.Pavlik has been over rated for a while now. He's been living off the Jermaine Taylor win for too long and really hasn't done **** since.

I don't know why people continue to say Martinez got "robbed." He didn't. It was a close fight and I had Williams 7-5. Not everybody scored the fight for Martinez and it wasn't anywhere near a robbery. The Martinez-Cintron fight was a robbery but the Williams fight was nothing like that.
