Valero is not even in Floyds DIVISION at the moment and has never even called out Floyd. But he HAS called out Pac.

Dude Valero is nothing but a slugger. He has no skill. He has fought cans his whole career. He is not ready for Pac, PBF or JMM.

VALERO BETTER THAN FLOYD, SAYS ARUM
                  Manila Standard, February 10, 2010

THE spectacular performance of World Boxing Council lightweight champion Edwin Valero against interim champion Antonio DeMarco has once again revived talks of a clash between the Venezuelan knockout artist and Manny Pacquiao.

Valero mauled DeMarco so badly for most of nine rounds that the Mexican’s corner stopped the fight before the start of the 10th round.

The Venezuelan champ, who has 27 wins all by knockouts, always wanted to fight Pacquiao.

In an interview with Standard Today at the PLDT offices of businessman-sportsman Manny Pangilinan when Valero and former WBC lightweight champion David Diaz paid the telecoms magnate a courtesy call, the Venezuelan reiterated his desire to face the Filipino champ and predicted he would beat him. He was in the Philippines as guest at Pacquiao’s 30th birthday celebration in December of 2008.

Pacquiao said he would never back out of a challenge provided the negotiations go well and Top Rank promoter Bob Arum believes a Pacquiao-Valero showdown would be sensational and will even be better than a Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Pacman bout.

But Arum said Valero will first have to move up to 140 pounds and prove himself at that weight before getting a shot at the reigning pound-for-pound king.

Boxingscene.com’s Rick Reeno spoke to Arum, who wanted Valero to fight some of the better names at 140 pounds, including World Boxing Organization champion Timothy Bradley to earn a shot at Pacquiao.

“Valero is a very smart guy. He has a real goal. He wants to fight Manny Pacquiao and that’s the reason he went with us. But to fight Manny Pacquiao, he has to prove himself at 140. He has to get a visa. I won’t have any problem getting him licensed in Nevada now that they changed the rule. It used to be where, if you had a bad [MRI] result, you were out. They changed that and Valero’s MRIs are perfect,” said Arum.

Watchout Floyd, Bob will find a way for Valero to have his licence in nevada.
Dayum, Valero is getting closer to whoop Mayweather azz.

Hey *****s, What you think? Floyd will run or duck? Fight the much smaller Calderon instead hahahahha

You're dreaming if you think Floyd will take on Valero. He can't take Pac at the moment ignoring public pressure. Floyd was originally set to fight Hatton's bro and Malignaggi. He's now taking Mosley just to save face.

No, not in your wildest imagination. Floyd would rather retire, then come back when he runs out of cash. Most likely, if Valero wins his next fight with a big name boxer impressively, he might get a chance with Pac. Pac will not ask for ped testing ****, that's for sure.
