Ron Artest on: Floyd Mayweather vs. Sugar Shane Mosley
The Truwarrior (Artest) was a big fan of the Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquio clash. That would have been epic. One of the biggest fights since Sugar Ray Leonard and Thomas Hearns. I really do believe Manny is the only boxer with the awkward skill who can challenge Money Mayweather.
I would even like to see Paul Williams and Mayweather. Since Floyd has no losses under his belt, everything should go according to his rule book. No matter who he has fought, he still is undefeated. People can't deny that. At least we can move ahead and look forward to this Sugar Shane and Pretty Boy Floyd bout.
This matchup will actually be a more entertaining fight than Mayweather-Pacquio. Pac Man and Floyd are similar in a sense that they are steadfast, even bullish in their approach. Manny is a smart bull who won't fall for the matador holding a red cloak, more likely, catch him with an unorthodox left hook as he side-steps to the right. Shane is the type to smother the little flag boy and just knock him right out.
Mayweather is a major problem, even if one believes he has ducked certain fighters. Mayweather is the matador -- the creator in the bull fighting pit and more of an intelligent, patient fighter than a defensive one.
Juan Manuel Marquez was also great example of a smart fighter who, if he were bigger, might have been more effective with his counter-punching against Mayweather -- as he was in the two, matchups with Pacquiao -- a disputed draw, and a disputed victory for the Pac Man that were contested at 125, and, 130 pounds, respectively.
But fighters like Mayweather and Marquez, nowadays, appear to be few and far between. At any rate, Shane is really excited about facing Mayweather. But like the rest of us, he has to wait until May 1 before he gets his chance, and we get to see it.
