Lara vs spinks seems like a winnable fight for him.

I'm not big on Lara, out of all the influx of Cuban fighters (Gamboa, Rigondeaux and Co.) Lara seems to me like the less skilled of them all, a little rough on the edges to be put in with a guy like Angulo or even Spinks who I think could outbox Lara.

Why would they want to match Lara so soon against Angulo? Lara would get murdered against a killer like Angulo, that's a slap in the face for "El Perro". Man this sucks, this looked like such a good card, Kats fighting Guerrero plus the most avoided man in boxing "El Chino" Maidana, what a bummer.

Lara picks angulo apart. his defense, southpaw style his accuracy and counter punching skills will be to much. only when angulo wins is if he lands a lucky bomb. which idoubt happens. lara got hit with maybe two clean shots against the very tough and decently skilled grady brewer. and that was in lara's only tenth pro fight. brewer hadnt lost a fight in like 3 years before he fought lara. angulo isnt on lara's level. lara by 8-4 or 9-3 UD or maybe late stoppage from accumalative punishment.

I totally agree with you guys. Lara is a fine tuned boxing machine that would school Angulo worst than Cintron. That the only reason he did not take the fight. Contrary to some comment on here, I think Lara is the one out the Cuban bunch that will go the furthest in the sport.

first of all, I dont see what the problem is here. There's no need to take Katsidis off the card. Guerrero is out but Katsidis didn't want to fight him anyway, he called out Juan Diaz. So they should go ahead and do the rematch with Diaz. Katsidis-Diaz 2 along with Maidana-Cayo sounds good enough. By the way i wish they'd make this a tripleheader and give us Lara vs. Kermit Cintron. That would be a fun card to watch for sure.
