Today i become convinced that Roy can win this fight and i think he takes it by UD. I don't think Hopkins will land hard and consistent enough to KO Roy. His output is not better then Roys. Hopkins dosen't fight better on the inside, he clinches more then Roy. Hopkins dosen't fight better on the outside, he is slower then Roy.

What talks against Roy is obvious, he has lost speed, reflexes, his footwork is not nearly what it once was. He fights with his hands down and makes mistakes he can't get away with anymore. Hopkins has great defence and good counterpunching ability.

If Roy comes to fight, works hard all rounds, trys not to be to careless but still dosen't go into his defensive shell i think he has what it takes to win. In the last two years Hopkins has fought two middleweight and before that Joe Calzaghe and another middleweight. Roy is strong and has power. He can still fight, he can win this.

even if nard could KO jones in the first round, he wouldn't, because he knows that would look really bad on him. If he feels he can KO jones right away, which I doubt, he'll carry the fight for several rounds.

He will go for the KO though since there is a KO bonus in the contract.

True. It would destroy the illusion that this is a credible fight if that was to happen. Hopkins would not want to do that. The critique would be immense.
