Froch will be the first fighter to KO Kessler. Kessler is a come forward fighter, but has very little inside game. He lacks the speed of Dirrell, the countering boxing brain of Taylor, and the slick style of Pascal. He is a very good all rounder, but I don't see him being able to get Froch out of his stride.
Froch will out muscle Kessler on the inside and hurt him with uppercuts and bodyshots. While Kessler will get the better of the early medium range exchanges with his straight, sharp punches, Froch will begin to hurt Kessler on the inside and will take control in the middle rounds. Once Kessler begins to tire, Froch will start to land his trademark jumping uppercuts and force a hurt and discouraged Kessler out of his gameplan.
Froch has taken big shots from good, strong punchers, only going down once against a very game Taylor. He recovers well and can go the full twelve easily. Kessler is going to have his hands full. Don't get me wrong, this fight is very winnable for Kessler, but I don't see him being able to keep Froch at bay for a whole fight, not unless he drastically changes his style. With two come forward fighters it's inevitable that much of the fight will be fought on the inside. To put it bluntly Froch is a good inside fighter and Kessler isn't.
Froch wins by late KO.Comment
