Its just posturing, if he acts like he needs pacquiao then it gives leverage away from his current stance/position.

while mayweather would need pacquiao for his biggest payday, he can still make more than pac not fighting him. this fight with mosley, should he win, would mean alot should he outdo him in ppv

I agree-they both need eachother for the massive payday. This fight with Shane, if Floyd wins-and I believe he does, will give him a belt,a better ppv and payday than Pac vs Clottey,and possibly the number 1 spot on people's pound 4 pound lists if he looks impressive.This ultimately gives Floyd even more bargaining leverage over Manny. Floyd was smart for taking this fight,but with as much leverage that he will have,Manny will still want it all-if that's the case,the Floyd/Manny fight may not happen because of this...maybe we will see Mosely/Manny is Shane loses-lol

Really, so am I expecting Floyd to sound like an English Professor or a fighter? Last I checked he's a fighter, I didn't realize perfect grammar was a prerequisite for the fight game.
