    The Next Boxing Superstar/s

When floyd, manny, shane, cotto, etc. are gone

who will takeover in the future?
who will be up in the P4P ranks?

    my picks so far:

    Andre Ward
    Yuri Gamboa
    Andre Berto
    Edwin Valero
    Timothy Bradley
Chad Dawson (maybe if the LHW division gets more interesting)

but yea.. what do you guys think?

there are plenty of young taleneted boxers that will be stars in the sport but we need a tyson, ali, floyd. an anerican star that can bring back boxing to the mainstream. i dont see that guy yet.

Wow! Nice picks! You are on the money with all of them. I think Amir Kahn, Guillermo Rigondeaux and Devon Alexander should be on that list. Of course Kahn and Alexander have to get passed their next fights. I also think Tavoris Cloud will be on to watch and it would be interesting to see how Lucian Bute and Jean Pascal do going forward. Cloud v. Dawson would be and interesting fight....Oh, and Sergio Martinez and Paul Williams are up there on my list.

I see Andre Dirrell and Andre Ward being able to pick up the mantle, maybe becoming later version of B-Hop and RJJ. I think Bradley will become a superstar as well. I love Paul Williams but his reckless style and lack of development will have him in a very short prime and he will burn out quickly, unless he gets new trainers and committs to boxing.

Agreed, this guy's counter-punching is going to wreak havoc on the division.
