It doesn't matter who states that **** ...... it BS. NO boxer is bigger than the sport ... PERIOD.

Boxing was here before them and will still be here after them. Not a single doubt in my mind on that fact.

true but what floyd is talking about is a mainstream star, someone(american) that can sell a million ppv's and keep boxing in the mainstream. in that aspect floyd is right, boxing dies(mainstream) when he leaves. but thats a good thing though for me, i pefer pay 15 dollars a month for all my boxing.

the point is they can be stars in the future.

No one in the mall knew who pacquiao was a couple years ago. Now look at him. The same could be possible for some of those guys mentioned.

Anyone who believes the sport will die when the top couple of stars leave the sport has gone full ******. Now boxing itself generally always hinges on a couple big stars at any point in time but once those guys move on there is always someone to pick up the slack (it may take a little time).

No one predicted the rise of Manny and even Floyd to this level, so the next couple stars may come from that list or may not ever really be known at all at this point.

The sport will survive though it has survived the loss many times before and it will for long after these two are gone.
