Tua has never been able to cope with tall fighters who know how to fight tall. A prime Tua was completely shut out by Lewis, and he's way past his prime now. It would be an embarrassingly easy and boring win for Vitali.

Povetkin is by far the best and most credible option for Vitali, IMO. Boytsov would also be a reasonable option; so would Chagaev; and even Dimitrenko would be a far more credible opponent than Tua.

I suspect Valuev/King must be planning to stay on the sidelines for now and then enforce Haye's rematch clause after the Ruiz fight. That would put Haye in an impossible position, because if he agrees to the rematch without fighting a Klitschko first, he loses his credibility. But a rematch clause is a rematch clause, so he may have no choice.

Yeah, a lot of folks says he's washed up, past his prime, and point to that dismal performance years ago against Lewis. Then again, his only fight so far coming back onto the scene with Cameron looked impressive, despite the opponent's lack of stature and his knockout performances in earlier pre lewis fights were tysonesque, say with ruiz and his stamina was borned out in that fight with ike ibeauchi who would've done great had it not been for that little difficulty with the law...serial rapings and kidnapping, endagering and perverting a minor, etcc..

Let's see how he does in a couple of more fights. Being a warrior from NZ, I don't think he would mind going out being knocked out on his shield by a vitali or wlad, what i don't think sits right with him is going out loosing a decision to some tall joe blow...btw, has he ever been knocked down, let alone knocked out?

All 4 are a waste of time and are no hopers. I'm ready to see Vitali fight somebody relevant. Fu.ck Don(done since the 90's)King.

Yea, the Valuev, Ruiz, Chagaev mess makes me want to vomit. That's all they fight, each other. It's been going on for almost 4 years now. They need to just get the hell over it. Ridiculous if you ask me.

At this point, Tua would get abused. He never would have beat Vitali even at his best anyways. Pointless fight, even though I wouldn't mind seeing it anyways. I like the Tuaminator.

Man, what did Tua ever do to you? Even he knows he's not ready for that.

When will Tua finally be ready to fight a top 25 heavyweight? When he's in his 40s?

Will he fight another journeyman after Ahunyana?

Tua's chance is NOW or never.

Whoa, whos talking Tua? I gotta have my say on my fellow Kiwi. He WILL get there. Trust me, ive seen alot of interviews and local stories with big Dave and he has become a very solid person (he was a bit loose training wise before) and hes got the right mindset and also the right trainer to make one run at it. Ive got 31 of his fights and the best he has ever looked was against Cameron. Hes got Friday The 13th coming up and assuming he gets past him, he will need at least another 4 fights before he (and we) knows if he can take down a Klitschko. 100% faith! Go Tuamanator!
