The negotiations for a potential WBC heavyweight title fight, between champion Vitali Klitschko and challenger Nikolai Valuev, have hit a major snag. BoxingScene.com was informed that Don King, co-promoter to Valuev, is holding firm on his $4 million dollar demand. The requested amount is above and beyond what Klitschko's side is willing to pay in order to secure Valuev for a fight.

Don King is pricing Valuev out of the fight. $4 million is ludicrous. Vitali has fought two up and comers lately and is looking for a big name, and Valuev is about all that's out there. Toney is too far gone, I think, though I wouldn't mind seeing Vitali shut him up once and for all.

Forget Briggs: he made a comeback and got popped for steroids last fall. Briggs is a lost cause.

Too bad, the eugenics war between the missing link valuev and the throwback knuckle dragger klitschko wont happen , would be interesting to see if vitali can knock out valuev or break his hand trying to do so against valuev's monstrous acromegalic head...
