According to the Fight Fax web site’s suspension list, James “Lights Out” Toney has been suspended for 90 days and fined $10,000 for testing positive for a banned substance. In addition, and perhaps more importantly, his April 30 WBA title-winning victory over John Ruiz has been changed to a No Decision. While the implications of this decision are not known, the most likely scenario will see the title returned to Ruiz outright. Toney will apparently be re-tested after his 90-day suspension is served

10,000 dollars and 90 day suspension.... lol thats not even a slap on the wrist. Toney wouldnt fight within 90 days anyway. 10,000 is nothing to a fighter earning millions dollars paycheck like toney.

If I would have told you a month ago that Ruiz would retire, Toney-Byrd would be signed, Ruiz would comeback, Toney would test positive for steroids and get suspended and Ruiz would be champ again you would have said I was crazy. LOL
