    Good post, OP.

For a minute there I thought Thomas Hauser had an account on Boxing Scene. Well done you.

Valero vs Marquez would be xciting....if only Marquez is the same person we see with Pacman 2 years ago dont think Valero can take Marquez uppercuts and Valero bleeds right away after 2 rounds both eyes will be bleeding with Marquez jabs...cant pick the winner of this fight cause Marquez gets hurt with Diaz whos a feather fisted compared to Valero!

I wonder if they are serious about putting him in with Bradley immediately.

Shouldn't he beat a top 5 LW first, then maybe test the waters at 140 before fighting the best guy in that weight class?

If he is going to do it, its a ballsy move but not too smart in my view.

He should try and develop a little more into a complete fighter before weightclass jumping.

Yeah I think it'd be a bit of a shame if he moved away from lightweight before really getting started there. Some 135lbs fights I really want to see that I know wouldn't happen if he went off chasing the money in junior welter and beyond.

I'd like to see him take out the likes of Funeka (which'd be a great test), Katsidis (a real barn burner) and maybe even Reyes and Juan Diaz who I think he'd eat alive but would be nice wins regardless.

I think he has a good chance at beating Bradley though. Bradley a very competent fighter and good all round, but I'm not sure he has that extra verve/x-factor that Edwin may do and whether he can deal with Valero's speed (hand and foot) and timing.

I agree. Who has he really fought so far? He's been knocking out a bunch of no name fighters who, with the exception of DeMarco and Pitalua , aren't even ranked in the top 50 of their weight class. Now he's moving up to the light welterweights because his goal is to land a Pacquiao fight. I like his "no fear" attitude but I think he's in for a wake-up call. I would love to see him fight Maidana first. He has a pretty solid chin and his power is feared by most of the division. If Valero can beat him then they should setup a Bradley fight. If he can beat those two fighters then a Pacquiao fight should be made.

Valero speed and southpaw stance will chop Bradley in half.
