I mean, aside from James Toney fans and John Ruiz fans I do not think there was all that much excitement for this bout between aging heavyweights in an at best mediocre heavyweight division. I mean, Toney was juicing, fine. Ban him from the sport, and two or three years from now, when he would be retired anyway, we are in the same position as we are if he continues to fight. I don't think the heavyweight division can get too much more unexciting. If Byrd, Klitschko, Ruiz, Toney, Barrett, Rahman, and, well... Klitschko, vanished into thin air today it would take people at least a year to notice. I mean, all are decent fighters, and I will even say that Ruiz is underrated and Toney is charasmatic, but I do not think the sports world is all that shocked by the fact that a fight between a boring bearded man and some fat guy may be illegitamate. In all honosty I think that we have better things to spend their time think about and that this should not leave much in the way as a black eye for the sport. The heavyweight division is the equivilant of that drunk uncle that you pretend not to know at family reunions anyway.
