    Not impressed with Valero's power

Surprised no else has mentioned this.Quite honestly,Demarco put more into his punches than Valero did.I think Demarco should hang his head in shame and retire from the sport for his lack of testicular fortitude.

lol, Valero punches just like Pacquiao used to. Some work and refining will turn Valero into even a bigger animal.

i brought it up on several of the threads hypothesizing valero against 140lb fighters.

I dont think he's proven himself to have the kind of destructive power he had at 130 at 135 yet....they shouldnt let him anywhere near 140 for now.

But it's also possible demarco's height and turtle defense played a big role as well. Valero barely landed anything flush until the final 2 rounds because demarco fought tall and covered up well.

I want to see you get in a ring with a pro boxer. It takes a lot of heart and balls to step in a ring with a guy who is trying to hurt you and do as much damage as possible.

i think valero's power changed the fight as early as the 1st round. that first left cross that valero landed made demarco's knees buckle a little bit. check the tape, they showed a slomo replay of it.
after that, demarco knew that valero's power was the real deal and he refused to engage like everyone expected him to eventually do.
i was more impressed with valero's handspeed and free-flowing combinations. he didnt load up on shots as much i expected and didnt over-commit with wild shots.
i was surprised at how loose he was given the situation. he fought with intensity, but his combinations were smooth and it seemed like he saw everything.
