Does this IMPROVE Ruiz's standing (serious topic)

Yeah, I'm not joking, we all know Ruiz is the dogs (and not the dog's bollocks) but he gets the results and takes on the best, unlike any other belt holder out there today.

Yeah, there's lots of jokey Ruiz threads out there at present (I started one of 'em) but in all seriousness does the present, extremely depressing, news mean we should respect him more?

Granted, he's probably had the best competition cos he's the one Don most wants rid of, but the boy does good (in a bad way) time and time again.

The Toney fight... yeah, Toney was in control, especially for the second half, but it wasn't exactly a whitewash. Considering Toney was alledgedly juiced it was extremely close in fact. The question is... how bad would Toney have fared if he HADN'T been juiced?

Actually... somebody please just tell me the thing is some kind of horrible dream.

it goes to show you what kind of fighter ruiz is.
he takes on all challengers and deserves to be mentioned as a heavyweight champ. it proves that he isnt a bum fighter either because if it takes a fighter the calibre of toney with steroids to beat him, ruiz must be doing something right.

I tell you what, it makes me respect the guy as the jammiest (Limey expression, you have it?) son of a ***** who ever lived.

I can't honestly believe Don would want this guy as one of his chief puppets, so he throws everything at him... Rahman, Oquendo, Golota... he beats 'em all.

Then he does get beat, and the Boxing Gods again smile down.

Man, I'm pissed! and I mean that in the US sense of the phrase.

Toney would have stomped Ruiz with or without steroids. He shouldn't have used them but as far as boxing skill goes it pretty much a non-issue. Put any of the strongest guys in the world in the ring and they all get KOd by any of the Heavyweight alphabet titleholders. They'd probably get stomped by plenty of cruiserweights too.

if they fight again ''clean'' and ruiz beats toney then yes he will get more respect, however toney dosn't deserve a rematch, if he did cheat

I hope that Toney and Vargas and any other ******* that cheats ends up flipping burgers at McDonalds.
              This news makes me sick!

you should be angry at toney not ruiz, toney pretty much slapped his fans in the face by taking steroids. also ive never heard the term jammiest, what does that mean?

Jammy means kind of flukeily lucky. You know how you'd play pool with one of your mates and they'd hit a ball without even looking because they weren't in the mood to play - and then the ball would bounce off six cushions and go in anyway?

Well if that happened over here you'd go "you jammy bastard!" - and then kick them in the nuts.

Or like tripping up over a cliff edge.. but instead of falling to your death you fall and land on top of a naked Jessica Alba... and you already just happened to have a hard on.

                    Jammy bastard!
