The Junior Welterweight Division is the liveliest

I hear all of this talk about the welterweight division, but right now outside of Mayweather, Pacquiao and Mosley, whose really huge right now? Margarito was caught cheating and will return at 154, Kermit Cintron moved up, Quintana moved up (and isn't even relevent anymore), Paul Williams moved up two weight classes, Cotto is shot and is also moving up for his next bout, Collazo isn't relevent right now, Zab Judah moved down to 140 and Clottey blows every title shot he gets. In 2006-2008 the division was hot, but right now it looks rather dead outside of Mayweather, Pacquiao and Mosley. Those are the only names people wanna see fight eachother.

Junior Welterweight on the other hand is another story. It has fighters like Timothy Bradley, Amir Khan, Devon Alexander, Zab Judah, Juan Urango, Marcos Maidana, Paulie Malignaggi, Kendal Holt, Juan Manuel Marquez, Victor Ortiz, Nate Campbell and Ricardo Torres. Aside from maybe Campbell and JMM, all of these fighters are still fresh and top tier. It'll be years before we've seen all of them fight eachother, and by that time we'll see more new faces in the division like Edwin Valero. That makes at least 13 great fighters, compared to 3...Am I the only one who finds that odd? Even the Super Middleweight and Junior Middleweight divisions have more competitors. I don't think the 140 pounders get enough credit. This is the best division in my opinion.

He is retired... And, I wouldn't consider Malignaggi, Campbell, Ortiez, Maidana great fighters... And, JMM has yet to prove he is great at 140...

I disagree about Bantamweight. They have some decent fighters like Hozumi Hasegawa, but they aren't top tier. As for Junior Middleweight, they have some great names but they haven't faced eachother yet. I wanna see Cintron-Quintana, Margarito-Angulo, etc.

Oh and P. Will fights at 160, not 154 (although he has hinted a return to 154).

140 is a pretty badass division. So many skilled fighters there with so many exciting match up's possible. And they like to talk **** too and get in each others faces. So it's mad entertaining outside the ring too! Wish the division had a more mainstream following. Hatton-Pacman was the biggest fight at 140 ever and that didn't do amazing numbers.

Real good division though, they could definitely do a super size, or 8 man tourmament or something. Would love to see who comes out of this division the best.

Bantamweight has really good fighters and quality top to bottom. They just don't get a lot of press....
