You must really hate Diaz to wish death upon him like this...

I think Diaz is a lot better than people give him credit for. He went to war with JMM in a fight that could have went either way before the KO, and he beat a lot of good lightweights like Jose Miguel Cotto and Katsidis. Just imagine if he was in better shape (I think that's why he lacks power). Valero still hasn't proved himself against a decent lightweight (not that there are any outside of Katsidis and Diaz), so I wouldn't say its a slaughter...yet.
