    Still not impressed with Valero

De Marco hardly threw anything and ran out of gas.

He wasnt hurt, knocked down or damaged. He isnt fast but still landed flush rights and jabs, his movement into the corners was amatuerish, his defence wasnt very good.

And because he quit Valero becomes a gret fighter??

Valero is still very wild, very open, cant fight on the inside, doesnt have much of a jab.

I really dont see anything that special.

    His technique is crap too.

I wasn't impressed either. The guy is like a one-armed fighter. He hardly ever throws the right hand with power. He looked a like a big Darchinyan.

I feel you guys some and this is what I wrote

Talk about anything boxing related here. Where the boxing discussion is always Non Stop!

Either way, even if you think he looked good, IDK how you can go crazy like everyone on here has been going. I didnt see a guy that special to be acting like everyone on here is. Could he be that? Yes but this fight certainly didnt prove it. DeMarco was done from the jump

Demarco is a pretty good fighter. For Valero to walk through him like that is impressive with the gash on top of that.

He still keeps his hands too low, it'll cost him sooner or later. I hope he stays at 135 and cleans up. His power may not be as devastating at 140.

I was more impressed with the way he handled himself with that bigass cut on his forehead and didnt ***** out than his boxing skills

Those who are calling for a Pac/Valero showdown......if you like Valero, this is not the fight for you. Valero gets beaten to a pulp before 6 rds and either a tko or stoppage. He looked good partly because he is pretty good and partly because DeMarco did nothing to really stop the guy from doing what he wanted to do.

Good to see a few people over here aren't impressed by Valero...needless to say, we're a rare breed...and better judges of Boxing talent than those who ARE impressed ofcourse...

Add me in the list of folks that wasn't too impressed.

I honestly thought I was the only one.

I'll give him a chance to redeem himself without fighting with a huge gash over his head the next time.

I think his amazing KO record impresses people more than it should at this point in his career.

I was impressed with his 2nd round KO against Pitalua, but u dont hear people really saying whats so great about him. Just a vague excited statement about how great he is.

I dont know DeMarco. But he didnt seem to be that good. Like i said, he gave away the first few rounds, and it seemed he wanted to force the fight into the later rounds. But by then he just got hit more and seemed to get tired more than actually getting beat up.
He was easily backed up into corners and his defence was very bad. His gloves were up but not tight enough, he didnt move his head.

Valero has great conditioning, he can be quick on his feet, he sometimes has fast reflexes to avoid shots, but other than that he seems open, not very accurate, wastes most of his punches, and i wasnt impressed by any single shot he threw.
