GL: What's the latest and greatest, is there any update on your next fight? "Right now, you know Al Haymon is putting his best foot forward to get what we want, but it doesn't seem like it's going to matierialize for obvious reasons. I personally feel there's an interest in me going abroad, going out and beating guys in their hometowns, smashing them in front of their hometown. In front of tens of thousands of fans, that's what I'm interested in doing. I told everybody a long time ago that my work at light heavyweight is done, unless I find something really great come down the pipeline. I'm looking for bigger and better things.

I think it would be ideal, I'm not chasing Danny Green, but it would be ideal for me to go in his backyard and shut him down. They put all kinds of money on the table for Hopkins, for whatever reason, but Hopkins is hellbent of the farce of the year. He's chasing Roy Jones, for whatever reason, it just don't make sense to me. He's refused my rematch call, but he's going to face a guy that I beat, bested, and knocked out, and has been knocked out several times since then. So I just don't know the validity in his quest to fight Roy Jones. Obviously he's not a fighter that wants to continue being relevant in the game, he just wants to try to make a lick and get out. He's not fighting the best available opposition, that's how I personally feel. Right now, I want to go over there and do Danny Green, but they low balled me.

They don't want the fight, they're over there skating and running, trying to live off of that one round knock out that they have over Roy Jones. Whatever that's going to matierialize into, I don't know. I don't know that there's as many cruiserweights out there that he can truely make a smash with. I'm giving him the opportunity to show people that he isn't just a fluke, that's how I see him in my mind. I'm ready, I'm training, I'm getting ready, and if Danny Green doesn't step up, then I'm going to go ahead and do James Toney, and get him out of the way. I don't have time to continue to wait.

GL: That's where my next question was going. If you're not able to get something done with Green, will you look to immediately get something going with Toney?

Antonio Tarver: We can do that, it's not a big deal. I just want to make sure that I'm comfortable with the weight. I think that moving up and beating someone at cruiserweight before I fight James Toney would be ideal, and I'm always looking for that big ticket. I'm looking to smash whoever the relevant guy is out there. Right now, he's semi relevant, but he's not that relevant, where he can truely dictate and call shots. It just don't make no sense. The guy don't want to fight me, these guys know from my last fight there's nothing finished or done about me.

Dangerous, I've always been. I'm coming to bring the fight. In the cruiserweight division I think people will really get to see my ability and my skill. I'm not going to be running, I don't have time to box. I'm going in to get them out of there, basically. My style is going to be more entertaining for the fans, and the ticket buyers, it's going to more entertaining, I'm putting it on the line. That's what we're building it up to. I'm going to be stronger, I'm looking good, I'm filling out pretty good with the extra weight. I'm ready to go.

My next fight, I want it to be huge. I don't want it to be some tune up fight, I'm at a point where I don't need a tune up fight, I know how to fight. I'm bringing the fight everytime out, so that's the bottom line. Danny Green and his people need to make up their minds, ain't nobody ducking nobody. You're not going to put all kinds of money on the table for a Hopkins fight, when I have arguably three wins over Roy Jones, and a clear cut victory over Rocky Balboa, so they can kiss my ass with that bull****.
if this fight goes down...just for this one ill be rooting for James Toney....

Why would a network even pay for this fight?

True that, excited already. Toney will beat him unless he left everything in the gym getting down to 200

They both are two name fighters and just look at all of the no name fighters who get on not only network TV but PPV like JCC jr for example or Pavlik vs insert: random body

This is an interesting fight for fans who didn't just start watching the sport right after Pac beat DLH, and Tarver would be smart to take a fight at CW 1st to test the waters.

if Tarver was killing himself getting down to 175 maybe he'd do better off at Cruiser or higher

but I'd like to see him in the ring before passing judgements.
