I agree I mean we really dont know just how good valero is for gods sake to judge a fight like this! He may well be good enough but he has so much more to prove before we know this!

Chavez would systematically take Valero apart.

You seriously cannot have seen Chavez fight if you claim him to be overrated. It really would be similar to Chavez-Rosario and when it was all over Valero would never be the same fighter again.

If you're talking about the Chavez that fought De La hoya then maybe, just MAYBE!

But....if you're talking about the Chavez that fought and whooped the original Mexicutioner Roger Mayweather and El Chapo then HELL NO!

Why has no one pointed out that Chavez is a MIDDLEWEIGHT and Valero is a LIGHTWEIGHT. If Chavez had to boil his 6'0 frame down to 140 he'd be DEAD and Valero would stop him within 4 rounds.

There not talking about chavez jr. they are talking about the original jc supertstar.

              Exactly! Well said

I was really impressed with valero performance last night. he showed defense prowness that i have not seen before but had read about it from doug fisher.

my initial thoughts after last night performance was that the skies the limit for valero but the reality of it is we need to see him in with more top rated fighters.

its sound like bob arum already has enough confidence with valero abilities to match up with bradely.

right now i favor the desert storm simply based on experience and the fact that valero raw talent isn't being molded right now by experience trainer like joe gossen, kenny adams (who he fired), ronnie shields,

valero is really doing himself a disservice if he does not hire a more experience trainer

MAN Chavez was a monster in that ring, i was young and havent seen anything recently but i remember he just kept coming at you and destroyed opponents, valero is also relentless and showed he can fight with a huge gash and still maintain his tenacity. I guess i just cant decide yet i got to see him fight a few more tough fights then we can talk.

Rosario was better then, than Valero is now.

No one could hurt Chavez until he was old and had moved up 3 divisions.

When Valero goes 90-0 then we can talk.

Chavez was a very good technician with good defence, accuracy, great range of punches, he could counter, destroyed the body, good on the outside, relentless on the inside.

Valero is a wildman who hasnt proven **** yet.

Valero is a Tamato Can compared to Chavez. You guys are so full of it.... you kids think that because you like a guy all of a sudden he is ATG status. By the time Chavez was 28 like valero is now he had already wiped out more than a hand full of top fighters. He earned his spot. Valero walked into it.
