      2. Mayweather is the KING at creating distance. His 72 inch reach, long arms and jab to the body keeps people off of him. Pac to get on the inside would have to sell out and doing that he would be countered.

      3. Pacs game relies on combo punching. Vs. Mayweather combos are not there because he is there one second and gon the next. Hes never had a 4-5 Punch combo landed on him.

      4. Pacman is VERY easy to hit flush. He fights with his chin in the air and his face exposed. He doesnt have any defense for right hands. Marquez is proof of that. The right hand down the pipe landed non stop in both fights. The right hand is the best punch to use vs. a lefty and its also Floyds best punch. Pac can be outboxed. When Cotto boxed in Round 1 Pac looked confused as hell. Floyd can box for 12 and can match Pac for stamina.

      5. Floyds countering ability can capitalize on Pac being off balance and lunging in alot. He is wild at times. Eve though hes toned it down some. His ass still can get crazy and against a guy who sees everything like Floyd does that **** wont fly. Floyd can counter him and put him down. Dont know if he'll be hurt but he can be dropped.

      6. Lastly against Southpaws Floyd uses a high guard. For instance against Judah he used the high guard to avoid being punched and to see everything Judah was throwing in return slipping and countering him.

      7. Pac vs. Floyd would get drawn into a boxing match. Floyd cuts workrate in half because his opponents know that he is a master counter puncher. If Pac opens up he loses early. If he goes DeMarco style he gest beat up for 12.

first of all, like one poster mentioned, a 'who would win' debate is a weak debate...fantasy matchups are a mixture of using some facts mixed in with opinion...noone really wins but i'll play along and cite some factors that could lead to a PAC victory

afterwards, i get to pick a topic that we can discuss to show how much you really know

      - this fight would not be an easy fight for either guy...i dont see a floyd wipeout like he did with the JMM bout...anyone who thinks that is off base

      - for a fighter to come off a 2 year lay off, they never come back the same especially if its a fighter that relies on reflexes and timing...although the time could have been needed to heal his body, the level of opposition leading up to the time off plus the inactivity is an obstacle to overcome...for someone that's what? turning 33, 34? its an even more daunting task

      - with the factors i've mentioned above, now put that situation in which you're stepping up against in the world (this is where i lose you because you think some 17 year old whoops PAC)

      - the reach of PBF is his biggest asset heading into the fight and would be PAC's biggest hurdle...however, as stated by other fighters, trainers and even astute observers; PAC is one of the best in closing the gap...his footwork is underrated but is footspeed is proven

      - PBF is always in control when he sees everything in front of him...he is a cerebral fighter that's always trying to think 2 steps ahead...if he sees it, he counters it...what's the common theme for PAC opponents after fighting him? besides the handspeed and power they underestimate, they always talk about the 'punches they didnt see coming'...its a legit angle when discussing this fight because we dont know how floyd would react to punches he doesn't see coming...i've seen him shoulder roll the wrong direction against Chop Chop and he got tagged a few times...what more if he gets tagged by PAC and has to deal with the 10 punch combo that follows that? can he adjust on the fly and deal with that for 12 rounds?

      - Judah was competitive with PBF for the early parts of that fight...imagine if he had the stamina and mental fortitude of a Pacquiao...the fight would have been 10x better and it might have led to a different result

      - Lastly, you underrate Team PAC's ability to draft, fine tune and execute a sound game plan...they know chasing PBF is most likely the fight scenario and im sure they'll make adjustments to get PBF out of his comfort zone...and in boxing, what if they DID draw PBF into too many exchanges and he starts taking more shots than he's used to...at this stage in his career, does he still have what it takes to weather that?

both fighters have their own sets of tools that would cause problems for anyone...i just think the PAC puzzle might become too much for PBF...PAC is not your textbook fighter that you can read...opponents get befuddled by his unorthodox rhythm and before they know it, they're eating punches

now, how about something that's NOT PAC, PBF or Paul Williams related?

      • It doesnt have to be Pac, Will, Floyd, Shane related. You brought up the Pac-Floyd argument.

How about Winky Wright ATG or Hall of famer. I mentioned that I had him very high on Jros list.

I loved watching Carbajal fight man.
          What a warrior!

Tapping that Tapia ass late in his career and down on the cards.

I tend to watch the Gonzales fight and a couple of others more.

How did he lose to Baby Jake? That guy was a true midget.

          Carbajal was HOF....

          • I am waiting for the results for floyd's fight with shane cause i will be the base line on how well he can match against a legit WW now. From there we can more or less determine Pac's chances of beating PBF.
