Valero is going to be around for awhile if he can get into the US and has a chance to play his cards...right or wrong, honestly.
He's got speed, so he throws punches in bunches when he attacks, and has mythological pop; although he's yet to show that power on 'the next level'. What that translates to is a fan-favorite sort of fighter. Not every guy in the ring has to be the most technical guy out there. Some boxing fans love to watch the technical gifts of a Mayweather, Wright, etc. But, as evidenced in recent years- some people really, really love brawlers and power. Gatti, anyone? He was always built on being a warrior who could ****.
At best, Valero might achieve that level, though with a bit more speed and skill that could, hopefully, let him be a fairly successful titlist.
