Ortiz.... DeMarco was basically getting to the point where prime years could be taken off his career.. he had nothing to gain by continuing imo... live to fight another day... Ortiz just basically gave up.. and pretty much admitted it in the interview afterwards.

Ortiz. He was still in the fight. DeMarco was getting whipped and there's no sense in taking even more punishment

just admit it, Valero is better than you give him credit for
          I admit it.
          On a side note.
I hate that open scoring. There's got to be a better way than that.

Ortiz pulled the bigger ***** move by far. Quitting on your feet is far worse than quitting on your stool. At least Demarco has the argument that his trainer wanted to stop it. Ortiz pretty much convinced himself to quit.

Ortiz, the kid that leaves himself too open and will quit or get KO'd by anyone with heart and a bit of skill.

DeMarco was more lost than a quitter. Ortiz.....now that's a quitter, the post interview was proof.

i was JUST about to make a 'Demarco Is A Disgrace' thread but its not worth it

that tall lanky ***** quit against a fighter that was bleeding all over the place...a fighter that went IN to his backyard...Demarco is a *****

at least Victor tried to go to war before he quit...Demarco just allowed his ass to be kicked for 9 rounds and decided to quit on his stool...he gets nothing from this fight fan

Real disappointing watching Demarco in this fight. I thought he basically had no answer for the left hand. Every time a left hand from Valero would come, Demarco would duck or try to roll the punch. He was basically waiting for Valero to finish throwing his punches to see when he can throw his. I thought a better strategy would be to parry or block that left hand and counter. Not sure if this is how Demarco fights, but it sure looked to me that he was very cautious of Valero's left hand and looking real scared in there.

Valero looked real good. I've seen this type of Valero in sparring before, but never in a real fight. I thought Demarco would pose more of a problem, but I guess Demarco ducking and doing his best immitation of a punching bag had other thoughts

Ortiz quit much worse than Demarco, but I had a feeling Demarco didn't want any of the Communist after the first round. The way Ortiz quit, he basically sounded like he was contimplating retirement in his early 20's right after the fight! At least Demarco can probably pad his resume with some more messicans until he can get another fight on shobox.

That being said, Demarco looks to be a total hype job.
