Why do you like your favourite fighter?

For example, my favourite fighter at the moment is Marcos Maidana. This is because I love his style as it's really exciting -if he takes one he'll give one back twice as hard. An example of this is his fights against Omar Leon and Victor Ortiz - against Leon he was down in round one but fought back and knocked out Leon in round 4. The Ortiz fight was brilliant, Maidana going down three times overall but also giving it back, eventually dispatching of Ortiz in round 6. These fights show his spirit and also his attitude - he's not afraid to go after the big guns. Also, he's not just a slugger - he does have skill, shown when he narrowly lost to Kotelnik (a fight I thought he should have won). But what makes his fights so exciting is his ability to ****, showing his fights are just one punch away from being over - this gives him a chance in most fights. I'm dissapointed Khan (one of my favourite fighters) won't fight him, as Khan comfortably overcame Kotelnik, meaning he probably would do the same for Maidana. It would be an exciting fight however as there is always the chance that Maidana would KO Khan, who everyone knows has more than a suspect chin. This could mean Maidana could outbox Khan as Khan could over-protect himself.

As for Maidana's next fight, I think it will be quite comfortable over Cayo, as Cayo has not fought anyone at Maidana's level before. I predict the outcome to be a Maidana KO in round 5-8.

So who is yours and why?

I love Marquez because he doesn't have the natural gifts of a Shane Mosley, Roy Jones, Pernell Whitaker or even Floyd Mayweather. He sweat and bled for every ounce of boxing skill and you can see it in the ring. He's got a heart like a lion and awesome technical skill.

I like Miguel because of his fighting style and the heart he shows inside the ring. I also like Miguel even more outside of the ring because of what he stands for and how he takes each situation. You will never hear Miguel disrespect another guy or spout off at the mouth. He is hard working but also doesn't flaunt and that is something you can truly respect. The best men in the world don't go around saying look what I've done or this and that, they just go about their life and let the final product do the talking. Whenever I see a Miguel interview I almost agree with him word for word. He is what all men should strive for no matter what craft they are trying to master.

My favorite fighter is Flyod Mayweather. I like his style of fighting, its very different from what everyone expect from a boxer. Flyod spends more time going backwards, throw as less punch as possible. Most people call this boring, even comparing it watching a paint dry or grass grow.
But for some people like me and other hardcore Flyod fans, we love watching grass grow and paint dries. So watching a Flyod fight better yet, if were even paying for it, we gets our moneys worth.
But wait, Flyod promotes the fight like hes gonna mess up his opponent so bad, so I always trust Flyods gonna deliver a very action packed and exciting fight.

David Tua - ATG chin , GOAT power , who could achieve what he did in the ring , and i don't mean belts , i mean :
he has not been stopped as a pro to this day ,
              KO1 Ruiz , KO1 Moorer ,
              KO1 Darroll Wilson (stopped Briggs and Tshabalala) , TKO1 Gary Bell (KO'd McCline) , KO1 Obed Sullivan , TKO11 Maskaev , TKO12 David Izon , TKO9 Oquendo , KO6 Dannell Nicholson

who would have achieved the same ? whilst being 5'9" at best ?
and also a clean fighter : remember Hagler , Tyson , Marciano and maybe more used elbows , McCallum used a clinch to calm jackson and low blows in many of his fights ,
also his "losses" to Ibeabuchi and Byrd are not legitimate as they were decisions who could (and maybe should) have gone the other way. decisions should not count too much.

Julian Jackson - 2 weights champion , clean fighter , fought the best who agreed to face him (ducked no one) , Knockout artist

James Toney - yet another clean fighter , great chin , great technique , underrated power , 3 weights champion , ducked no one ,

Chris Byrd - fought the best and the biggest , rarely been stopped in his prime despite being severely physically challenged at almost every fight of his.

Montell Griffin - also fought the best of his era , quite the same reasons as Byrd but a tadly bit more lacking in his chin.
